Vilagarcía de Arousa, 30 June 2024. The Galician Mussel Producers Organisation (Opmega) will be holding a new day of dissemination and promotion in Vigo next Friday, 5th July. This event is part of the programme of activities of the TAC Festival, organised in collaboration with the Vigo City Council.
The event, which will take place around the temporary pavilion “¡Qué faena(r)!”, winner of this edition of the architecture festival and based on the structure of a punt, promises to be an intense day as the organisation has taken into account the different ages of the attendees to programme different activities.
The activities will start at 10:00h and will last until 19:00h, including the participation of several producer partners. The day’s agenda will begin with an institutional act, followed by the reading of a manifesto by Opmega producers, reaffirming their commitment to the sustainable management of mussels and the conservation of the oceans.
Afterwards, there will be a tour of the large-format exhibition designed for the occasion while the dissemination and entertainment activities related to Opmega’s work take place. From 13:00h, attendees will be able to enjoy a free tasting of rice with mussels, prepared by chef Miguel Mosteiro.
During the afternoon, the activities will continue with more educational games, a performance about the mussel farming profession and a monologue by the well-known actor Carlos Blanco, who will close the event.
